Safety Benefits and Features
Cement Silo
A space that has limited or restricted access of entry or exit which is large enough for a worker to enter and work in, but is not designed for continuous occupancy.
Our procedure for confined space entry involves paying sensitive attention to personnel safety in the containment. Because of the shortage of oxygen in the containment, a gas test which is continously carried out to ascertain when the oxygen level presence is less than 19.5%. Organic vapor/acid gas like chlorine, hydrogen chloride, and sulfur dioxide or chlorine dioxide or hydrogen sulfide (escape only) or hydrogen fluoride, methane are possibly present.
Risk Assessment
The use of appropriate personnel Protective Equipments can never be emphasised in the cleaning of cement silo. All of our gadget used in the cleaning of cement silos are
properly tested by the right autorities. During Cleaning, according to the limitations of the SCBA gas supply, timing is ensured by the supervising personnel to let out the man inside after some minutes and exchanged with another Personnel fully kitted with PPE for entry.
Why Clean Silos?
For Optimal Performance
Be it Vertical Cement Silos, or Horizontal Cement Silos or Mobile Cement Silo, the vents are always clogged with caked cement after a long usage. For Silos to deliver at its best, regular cleaning needs to be carried out on it, the vents cleared from clogged cements and the vibrators checked to ensure that they are still in place.
